Kwaku Ennin

Mr Kwaku Ennin is the founder and CEO of Zeal Environmental Technologies Ltd (ZET-L), a modern waste management company with major business in the offshore oil and gas industry of Ghana. Mr Ennin spent more than 44 years nurturing and developing his ZET-L flagship company into its current stage of a sustainable capital-intensive enterprise.

Mr Kwaku Ennin is an award-winning CEO with over 35 years of experience in Sustainable Enterprise Development, Business Management and Corporate Governance Practices in both domestic and international business arenas. He also has technical expertise in the operations of Oilfield Waste Management, Maritime Consultancy Services, and Corrosion Preventive and Maintenance Services. Mr Ennin is results-oriented, and a decisive leader with proven success in new market creation and business growth strategies.

Mr Ennin and his company, ZET-L, are special affiliates of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and they have been supporting and collaborating with UCC in the following areas:

  • Supports the UCC Business Incubator to train young entrepreneurs in diverse fields of business.
  • Collaborates with the Centre for Coastal Management in the University of Cape Coast.
  • Providing enterprise development leadership as the Board Chair of the UCC Enterprises Ltd.
  • Supporting teaching and learning as guest lecturer in UCC and other universities.
  • Sponsoring and hosting industry educational trips for UCC students.

Mr Ennin is also a Senior Vice President of the Sekondi-Takoradi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (STCCI) where he continues to provide outstanding leadership and support for business affiliated to the Chamber.

Mr Ennin has an endearing passion for youth enterprise development and missionary works, so, he continues to support less privileged individuals and communities in Ghana. Mr Ennin also gives back to society through the ENNIN Medical Foundation. The Foundation has supported series of heart surgeries at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, provided logistical support to Fomena Nursing College, and more recently, facilitated the release of 15 inmates of Sekondi Central Prisons by paying their fines. Among his top priorities in life, Mr Ennin is committed to preaching the gospel to win more souls for Christ through his missionary works.

Patience Enyonam Akyianu

Patience is an award-winning Chief Executive, currently the Group Chief Executive Officer of Hollard Ghana Holdings, a subsidiary of Hollard International – South Africa, and a director on both boards of the company’s subsidiaries, Hollard Insurance Ghana Limited, and Hollard Life Assurance Ghana Limited. Prior to this, she was the first Ghanaian woman to be the Managing Director of Barclays in Ghana, now Absa Bank Ghana. She is a solid finance professional and banker with over 26 years’ experience in Finance, banking and now Insurance.

Patience is visibly championing insurance excellence in Ghana and has made immeasurable impact as leader of Hollard Group in Ghana over the last two years; driving unprecedented business growth resulting in a larger market share, establishing innovative partnerships with Vivo Energy, Melcom, bancassurances with Stanbic, First National Bank and Absa Bank Ghana, transforming the culture of the organisation and creating a high-performance environment, as well as creating strong top-of-mind brand visibility for the Insurance group’s subsidiaries, Hollard Insurance Ghana and Hollard Life Assurance Ghana.

Under her visionary leadership, Hollard has introduced some innovative products and alternative distribution methods for a traditionally conservative insurance industry, including Ghana’s first virtual insurer, a Chatbot nicknamed Araba Hollard, Mebanbo, a microinsurance product with monthly premiums as low as GHC1.00, and MyChurchPay, a payment platform for church members with an embedded Life insurance package for users. Gaining prominence and visibility, the Hollard brand is increasingly becoming a very respected brand in Ghana.

Her recent personal awards and accolades include Marketing Woman of the Year 2019 by the Charted Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG), Outstanding Group CEO of the Year 2019 at the 5th Ghana Finance Innovation Awards, Woman of Excellence 2019 at the Ghana Insurance Awards and Best Woman CEO of the Year 2018 at the Ghana Insurance Awards.

Patience holds an MBA (Finance) and a BSc in Business Administration (Accounting Option, First Class Honours), both from the University of Ghana Business School. She is a certified professional accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.

She is currently on the board of Ecobank Ghana Limited and a Director on the board of Hubtel Ghana. She is also a founding member of both the Executive Women Network and the International Women’s Forum, Ghana.

Patience is married to Lawyer Kwame Akyianu and has two children, Awurama Ampima Akyianu and Nana Banyin Kojo Akyianu.
