Online Registration

UEED in Africa will take place online on 8 to 9 September 2021! Registration and participation is free of charge. Registration is mandatory for all participants, speakers, poster presenters and conference team members.

An automatically generated proof of registration is sent after registration. The deadline for online registration is 16 August 2021 extended until 3 September 2021.

UEED 2021 will take place via the talque event platform (link to talque’s privacy policy: https://web.talque.com/de/privacy-policy). We will send your registration data to talque and create your profile in advance. You have to register with talque before the event in order to participate in the event. Talque will send you an invitation link in advance. After registering with talque, you then also have the option of editing your profile. You will be informed separately about data protection before you register on the platform.

Conference Platform Guidelines

FOR GUESTS

  • This conference aims specifically at bringing together participants from academia, business, and other stakeholders interested in the interplay between education and economic development. It is a forum for researchers and practitioners alike. Thus, the event is a response to the popular request to build bridges of communication between the worlds of academia and industry.
  • Questions can be asked in the chat function or directly live via camera and microphone. To ask questions with camera and audio, please write in the public chat (e.g., “I have a question” or “I want to say something”). The host will moderate the discussion and then ask the guest to activate camera and microphone. After your discussion contribution, please deactivate both again. Be aware of personal data in your camera image (e.g., photographs etc. in the background) as well as in your spoken word (e.g., personal information).
  • It is not permitted to take screenshots or recordings of the UEED Africa 2021Online Conference.

FOR SPEAKERS / POSTER PRESENTERS

  • All Presenters should register as soon as the registration window is open.
  • English is the language of all conference presentations.
  • All talks should be accompanied with a presentation, preferably as PDF document.
  • By presenting, the presenters declare that they hold the copyrights of all figures, tables, music etc. and other information presented and that they grant permission to UEED Africa Conference to publish the recording and advertise it on the UEED Africa Conference home page and the social media channels. There shouldn’t be any private information or personal data in the presentation.
  • Be aware of personal data in your camera image (e.g., photographs etc. in the background) as well as in your spoken word (e.g., personal information). Presenters and Host should have the camera activated and the microphones muted (only unmute, when speaking).
  • It is not permitted to take screenshots or recordings of the UEED Africa 2021 Online Conference.

FOR HOSTS

  • Hosts will moderate the entire edition of the UEED Africa 2021 Online Conference. Once accepted to host the UEED Africa 2021 Online Conference, they are responsible for the handling of abstracts and presenters as well as for moderating their respective Online session/s, incl. the discussion part after the presentations. Presentation and discussion language will be English.
  • If hosts show slides during the Online Conference, they declare that they hold the copyrights of all figures, tables, music etc. and other information presented and that they grant permission to UEED Africa 2021 Online Conference to publish the recording on to advertise it on the UEED Africa Conference homepage and the social media channels. There shouldn’t be any private information or personal data in the presentation.
